Hello!

Hi,

As you can see we have not been posting recently.

This is because we want to change our blog slightly.

From January we will start posting again with not only reviews but other posts about beauty, fashion and lots more.

We all enjoy blogging, trying out new products and showing them to you but we don't want it to feel like a job and that we have deadlines to meet. We want to keep our blog a bit more relaxed. We hope to post once a week in January but please understand that sometimes we will not be able to do this but we will try out best.

Lately we have not had enough time to write a blog about something we are passionate about, our lives have just got a lot busier but don't worry we will be back in January,

We have a half term break and will have more time on our hands so we will try to write some blogs then.

Thank you for spending some time to read our blog, we are at 1,000 pageviews!!

Don't forget to follow the blog so you know when we post!

Could honey save your dry skin? Good Things face wash review

Hi,

This week is another review on the good things skincare brand. Sorry its a bit repetitive but A reminded me how much I love my Good Things Manuka Honey Creamy Cleanser and Refining Scrub

Alice Hart-Davis created the brand in 2010, which you can purchase from boots here

On the Good Things website they say:

GOOD THINGS is all about simple, effective and affordable skincare, with the added benefits of natural ingredients that can deliver genuine beauty benefits and keep the skin clear, healthy and radiant.
We launched with the SUPERFRUITS collection, designed to target problem skin and much loved for its super-effective results. Now, we have expanded our offering with our brilliant MANUKA HONEY and ARGAN OIL ranges.

Creamy Cleanser

I found this cleanser in TKMaxx about  a year ago and decided to buy it because my other face wash was running out. I love anything honey so this was perfect and it was even better that it doesn't test on animals either (no cruelty to the bees). As well as being vegetarian (the other ranges are vegan), they also only put 'Good things' into their products.

The Good Things range is targeted at people with oily to combination skin.  Within the brand, they have three ranges: Superfruits for young problematic skin; Manuka Honey for first signs of ageing; Argan Oil for keeping older skin radiant.

I just want to mention that I do not have ageing skin. The face wash said it would hydrate my skin which is what I need for my skin type (dry combination).

This face wash hydrates my skin meaning that once my face has been washed, it doesn't feel tight and stripped of all its oils. This face wash contains royal jelly and beeswax, which have great moisturising and protective properties. It smells delicious, hydrates my skin and its affordable, not to mention it is made of natural ingredients. After purchasing this product three times over the past year, I think this is my all time favourite face wash.

Refining Scrub

I picked up this scrub whilst repurchasing the face wash for the second time. I hate using face scrubs usually because they irritate my skin so I use skeptical about using this product. I bought it anyway as I loved the face wash and trusted the brand.

This product contains oatmeal and sweet almond oil as well as manuka honey. The oatmeal is meant to eliminate dead skin cells and the sweet almond oils contains nourishing and moisturising properties.

I love this scrub as it is not too harsh, smells amazing and leaves a moisturising residue so my face doesn't dry out, not forgetting the glow it leaves my skin.  I will definitely repurchase this product.

Thanks -C

Good Things Miracle Mattifier Moisturiser

Hi again -A here x

Today i'm going to be talking to you about the Good Things Miracle Mattifier Moisturiser with superfruit extracts- BLACKCURRANT AND GOJI BERRY.

-C actually gave me this moisturiser as she said that she would recommend it for my skin type. It smells soooo nice and whilst even writing this blog post im smelling it . Since -C has given me this product I have used it a lot as its perfectly good for your skin and it really works.

I use it all the time and I would really recomment it to anyone who has oily/combinational skin. The make Good Things doesn't test on animals or have animal ingerdients and is paraben free! This means it is 100% suitable for vegetarians and vegans. It is quickly absorbed to hydrate your skin. It also helps absorb any excess oil so your skin stays smooth and matte and is less prone to breakouts.

I really love this product and it has definitely made me interested in the brand Good Things. You can purchase it online by searching in Good Things mirical mattifier moistuirser.

Bye

Water and Beauty

Hi guys!

Sorry the post is late this week, I was just really busy last night.
I'm going to talk about something a little different today... Drinking water and how it links to beauty.

I am really bad at drinking water throughout the day, I know this is so bad for me, I just can't remember or just can't be bothered.

Benefits of water:

Water doesn't just stop yourself dying if thirst...

  • Water gives you clear skin- if you start to drink around 6-8 glasses of water a day you should see your skin becoming much clearer. This is because the water flushes out the toxins in your body
  • When skin is hydrated your skin looks more alive and wrinkles and pores seem less prominent. Some people believe this is because water plumps up the skin, filling in these wrinkles and pores.
  • Dehydration makes your skin look dry and wrinkled
  • Not drinking enough water can give you health problems. Like asthma, allergy and migraines
  • Your skin will be soft and glowing

So how can you drink more water?

  • Have a drink in the morning as soon as you wake up
  • Eat fruits and veg that contain high amounts of water (strawberries, watermelon, cucumbers)
  • Make detox waters (put fruits into your water- there are many different recipes) to make you drink more interesting
  • Buy or make your own marked water bottle (I actually tried this method and it did work until the pen rubbed off). This will cause you to see drinking water as a challenge that you want to complete
  • Drink a glass of water with every meal
  • Go drink some now after reading this post

Drinking water is the cheapest way to have nice skin, it costs nothing but leaves your skin glowing.

REVIEW: COOLEST LIP-GLOSSES EVER!!!

Hi girls,
Today, I am reviewing the NEW CID i-Gloss Light up gloss with mirror!!!!!.

The founder of NEW CID is Kelly Colman. Her makeup line is to help empower woman. She wanted to make it simplistic, wearable and easy to apply.

The lipgloss colours I used were called

Cherry Pop and Blondie

I'm really sorry that I can't add pictures because my computer isn't working but you can click the links to see what colours these lipglosses are.

I really like these lip glosses because they aren't very sticky, they have lots of pigmentation and come with a built in mirror and light!!!!

I think that the built in mirror and light make these lipglosses so unique. The light is under the lid so when you are applying this lipgloss you can see what you are doing. Also the mirror makes these so much easier to apply and you don't have to search around at the bottom of your bag for a separate one!!!

These cost £17 each which you can buy from here

Also if you don't like lipgloss they make lipsticks with built in mirror and light!!!

-C

Also I'm sorry I can't get pictures to work at the moment. I should be able to get it to work by the next time I write a blog!!!

Skincare Shakeup: Balm Balm Rose Water

Hey!
Its -A here .

Today I will be reviweing the Balm Balm rose water. Around 1 week ago we all had a "Skincare Shakeup" with Jan (our beauty representtive) and she let us try out lots of skincare items that she believed were good for our skin. One of my favourite things was the Rosewater.

It's basically a gentle skin hydrator which you sptistz on every morning and evening. It is 100% natural and organic. It also smells great (well if you like roses then you would agree)

Me -C and -L tried it out and all really liked it , I think that its great to carry around with you if you feel like your face needs a little refreshing.  If you want to buy this product then the link is below

I really thought that this is a great product to use and I definitely noticed that my skin looked much more glowing and healthy after using it. Thank you very much for reading our blog!

BBrowBar Brow Pen for shaped, defined brows

Hi here I am again (-L btw) and I'm gonna review the BBrowBar Brow Pen...

This is 'Indian Chocolate' - they come in different shades

I really loved this brow pen- usually I just use Body Shop eyeliner pencil to fill in my brows, which works just as well as any brow pencil. However, over the weekend I found out about the BBrowBar Brow Pen. Firstly I was confused that it was a pen, like to me the idea of a marker pen or sharpie colouring in my eyebrows came into my mind...
Best eyebrows ever!

However, it was not like that at all. It gave a really natural look and make you eyebrows more neat and shaped. It did not make my brows look stupid and like they were drawn on. Also the pen was super easy to use and I would definitely recommend it.

For people with Brown hair, like mine, 'Indian Chocolate' would be perfect for you. If you have lighter hair I recommend 'Cinnamon Spice', and for those with darker hair use 'Cardamom Pod'.

The results
Buy them Here from My Showcase  (priced at £18.00).

Thank you for reading

Makeup with skin benefits??!!! First impression:Wild About Beauty

Hi,
This blog post is about the Wild about Beauty Ultra dewy crème blush sticks. I think these are a great idea as they are quick and easy and not messy.

As someone who loves blusher, I was excited when shown the cream blush range from Wild about beauty.

Wild about Beauty is a company created by Kim Jacob and Louise Redknapp. They created this makeup range that is foolproof and has real skin benefits

I have to admit that I prefer powder blush over cream blush as I thought it quicker and less messy. However, I was wrong. These cream blushers are compact so they are not messy and easy to blend. they are very creamy and have got lots of pigmentation

I love the shade names and my favourite shade is Phoebe. This is a really nice mid-tone pink that has no shimmer, which I like and is really nice to wear on the apples of your cheeks.

I also found out that cream blush is better for your skin than powder. It adds more hydration to your face (which I need) and powder blush doesn't give a hydrating dewy finish

This was one of my favourite makeup products from Wild About Beauty and I am excited to try more.

If you would like to purchase any products from Wild About Beauty then click here

We are meeting with out beauty representative soon which means we can try out for products for you!

Thanks for reading out blog :)

The S5 purity serum review !

Hi!
It's -A here today
I will be reviewing the S5 Purity Serum
The specific serum i will be reviewing is for oily blemish prone skin I got given a small sample of this to try out as i really wanted something to help my spots as it's not the greatest look!

I tried it when i was on holiday because I wanted nice skin whilst I was away . At first i thought it was not going to be that good but after a few days i really noticed a difference in my skins appearance It wasn't oily anymore and all of my spots had either cleared or were less noticeable I was really impressed with the results I got after using it! :)The serum is a thicker liquid which you add a drop or 2 to your daily moisturiser. You don't apply it by itself since using it with a moisturiser really helps your skin too .

If you don't have similar skin to mine there are many other serums you can try out ... Such as for redness and sensitive skin, hyperpigmentation, dry or scarred skin, sensitive skin, fine lines and wrinkles

The S5 Serum is good for all skin types and its even good to have if your skin is luckily perfect sicne it can also prevent any blemishes apperaring one day. This serum is literally AMAZING and I would recommend it to anyone who has trouble with their skin especially in the teenage years. Overall the s5 serum was something i would 100% use all the time Sadly, the only thing that put me off a little was the price ( £44 and $67) It means it is something that you would (well i know i would) have to spend a lot of time saving up for it.
As a young girl I would have much preffered it to be cheaper since then I could afford to buy some but then i do understand why it costs that price.
It is all completely natural and the people that created it are normal working people just trying to get their products well known which is completelty understandable.

It is crossing my mind to buy it as i really noticed a differnce in my skin and even my family commented on how my skin was much clearer and fresh. >If you are interested in purchasing anything from the S5 ramge then you can buy it from here

Thanks for reading and I hope that you like it !

LUXE temporary tattoos by Glimmer

Hi guys! It's -L here for my first blog post- hopefully it will be good enough to not be taken down by the others.

I'm here to blog about LUXE tattoos by Glimmer (they're temporary so don't worry). Most of the time when I think about temporary tattoos I think about really rubbish cartoon character tattoos that you would find at a 5 year olds birthday party...

I mean who doesn't want my little pony
over their arms?!

So I was quite shocked to find out that temporary tattoos can be so much more than that. They are seen as an accessory much like jewelry. However, that wrong brand and you could end up damaging your skin, or just end up with a really cheap looking tattoo that hurts to come off. The LUXE tattoos were super easy to put on (all you needed was water) and came off easily with either baby oil, moisturiser or shower gel. Also they are great for those with sensitive skin!

The Sharpies have nothing to do with the tattoos by the way

Glimmer is a professional worldwide body art company, so if you want quality then here is the place to go to get these amazing tattoos. (For £11.99 you get a pack- full of 2 sheets of tattoos)

We also tried them out...

-A made a bracelet and rings out of the Silver Metallic tattoos

-D found that the tattoos that matched her skin tone best were the Gold Metallic tattoos

-C tried the Water Colour tattoos (which really looked realistic)

And I tried using words in my tattoo...

We all really enjoyed the tattoos and would definitely recommend them!
